How do spend December when:

• there are no official christmas parties in your life cause you are not employed, not a club member and your husbands employer doesn´t do such things?

• there is no food to shop, plan and prepare as you don´t really celebrate christmas and even if, your family is tiny so no need to panic....

• you have a strict no presents policy so no need to shop again...

• you feel a deep dislike for mulled wine and overpriced sausages consumed at crowded and always the same looking christmas markets

You have found an answer? Good, cause I have not.
The run up to christmas for me normally means that my social life is basically coming to a halt - I am free, relaxed and in need for some entertainment...but no one else is.

Don´t get me wrong, I´m not winging and complaining and don´t want pity because most of these things could be changed by myself and I can deal with it. But maybe we all should think even more of all the people out there facing the same problem...only 100x worse. Everytime someone complains about their festive super busy lifestyle someone else might feel even more depressed about the lack of it. We should never forget that.

Sometimes it has to be something special...something that is completely unnecessary, overpriced and luxurious. Not the face cream cause your skin feels dry, not the fabric softener so your blankets smell better or the newest style of toothpaste.

One of the most pretty things I came across while browsing for a long time...hardly want to touch it, just look and it and enjoy. Enjoy that little wave of uplifting nostalgia.

Glossybox 11/2012

sorry it took me so long to post this...all in all a good box. And the first time I actually purchased something after trying it out!

• Burt´s Bees Lip Balm (already own it...and love it :-))
• Kérastase Masque Chroma Riche (tiny pot and not sure if it will be of much use for my henna treated hair)
• Kryolan Glossybox Blusher in Glossy Pink (lovely colour that will get used very soon)
• Thierry Mugler Womanity Perfumed Body Milk (if this is the source of the gorgeous violet smell of the box then I´m smitten and have to get the perfume, if not: a decent sized body lotion --> have bought a cute and handy 10ml bottle of it now)
• Zoeva Soft Eye Kohl (in a turquoise colour...not exactly my choice but definitely useable)
• the Glossymag (which has slightly improved and offers 5min of reading time compared to the 2min before), a Lolita Lempicka perfume tester (very nice!) and  a glossybox handwarmer (well, useful but I always forget to boil them soft again)

Freitags-Füller 30

Gestern am Nikolaustag hab ich meine bessere Hälfte wieder zum Flughafen gebracht, nun ist klar Schiff machen angesagt ;-).

Schnupfen bekomme ich glücklicherweise eher selten (so einmal im Jahr)...das jeden Tag stundenlang draußen rumlaufen zahlt sich wohl aus :-)

Hast du nicht gesehen, ist 2012 bald schon Geschichte.

Ich kenne jemanden, die kauft Pflegeprodukte nur in Farben die zur Badezimmereinrichtung passen. Im Ansatz verständlich aber frau kann es auch übertreiben.

Ich weiß, es kann keiner mehr hören, aber ich fand die News aus dem Buckingham Palace diese Woche sehr spannend. Ich freu mich jetzt schon wie verrückt auf den kleinen Prinzen/die kleine Prinzessin :-)


Was das Wochenende angeht, heute Abend freue ich mich auf aufräumen, mich über den "Fall für Zwei" ärgern und bloggen, morgen habe ich aufgrund der undurchschaubaren Wetterlage noch nichts außer Theater in Mainz abends geplant und Sonntag möchte ich mit zwei alten Freundinnen Frühstücken gehen und hoffentlich genug Gesprächststoff haben!

endlich mal wieder ein Blogstöckchen von der bezaubernden Miss W.! Und bestimmt das einsilbigste das ich je ausgefüllt habe...und nein, ich bin nicht verbittert, ich mag nur kein Weihnachten ;-)

Was planst Du an Weihnachtsbäckerei?
nix, ich backe das ganze Jahr über und aendere mein Verhalten nicht im Advent. Ausserdem habe ich Stollen, Zimtschokolade, Lebkuchen und Baumkuchen bereits mehr als ausgiebig gefröhnt so das ich keine Lust mehr drauf habe.

Kommt bei Dir der Nikolaus vorbei?
Früher hatte ich immer was in meinen Schuhen stecken ...heute nicht mehr, leider.

es gibt keine...ausser vielleicht in möglichst viele englische und deutsche Weihnachtsmärchen gehen. Dieses Jahr stehen 4 Stück auf dem Plan.
