Intouchables

director: Olivier Nakache, Eric Toledano
year: 2011
with: François Cluzet, Omar Sy, Anna Le Ny, Audrey Fleurot, etc.

plot: A rich quadriplegic, living in a mansion in Paris, requires a live-in carer. A young offender turns up for an interview, but he is not really looking to get the job. However, to his surprise, he is hired. The two men then develop a close friendship.

what I liked: One of the most successful French films and it´s not a surprise. A fantastic and credible (as it is based on a real story) plot, superb actors, beautiful music by Ludovico Einaudi and my beloved Paris...
what I didn´t like: nothing, seen it three times so far and still love it.
Only one teeny tiny thing: the opera scene is not very realistic as the curtain goes up and we see an aria performed which comes from the middle of "The Freischütz" and isn´t the overture...call me a nerd, I´ll take it as a compliment.

verdict: The hype was right, this film is a must see as it combines comedy with serious issues and stays heartwarming, charming, engrossing and believable. You will love, you will cry...Quickly made it into my personal all time top ten of films.
