From Russia with Love

director: Terence Young
year: 1963
with: Sean Connery, Pedro Armendáriz, Lotte Lenya, Robert Shaw, etc.

story: "James Bond willingly falls into an assassination ploy involving a naive Russian beauty in order to retrieve a Soviet encryption device that was stolen by SPECTRE"

what I liked: I have to admit that it certainly has a certain something, a certain coolness and humour. Still like the sets and the outfits and...Sean Connery is not that unattractive in young as I´ve ever thought. I like that is so wonderfully politically incorrect.
what I didn´t like: I didn´t understand the plot again...and fell asleep for 5min in between.

verdict: Finally seen this milestone. Still not a Bond junkie but it´s getting better. Definitely worth seeing.

  1. Ich oute mich als Bond-Fan... Mir gefallen Bond-Filme u.a., weil sie very british sind.
