You raise me up

In England the majority of baking recipes want you to use "self-raising flour" which basically is flour mixed with baking powder already. This is unknown in Germany so there you always have to use flour and add the baking agent yourself. Just one of those things to keep in mind when testing different recipes and swapping countries.

Have no idea though why this has developed that way - any ideas??
