I don't know how she does it

director: Douglas McGrath

year: 2011

with: Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan, Christina Hendricks, Greg Kinnear, etc.

story: Succesful banker and mum of two Kate struggles to keep both parts of her life in balance and only survives with the help of her never-ending to-do-list.

what I liked: I normally like "simple" films with a chic set, some stylish clothes and Sarah Jessica Parker...but that is already where the connection to my beloved SATC ends...

what I didn't like: Where to start?! My first problem of course is: I'm not a oh-so-busy mum so I can't really put myself into our heroines position. But that shouldn't stand in the way in order to enjoy a good film. This isn't good though.
It's boring, the characters are unbelievably one-dimensional and the hectical running around on heels makes the viewer crazy after a while. No real plot, no solution to the initial problem, nothing...an attempt to copy SATC with the characters commenting on their own situation and talking directly to the camera but this time it appears old-fashioned and fails.

verdict: Completely pointless...you can watch it or you can leave it, it won't make any difference.
